Maidstone Group Anniversary

40th Anniversary Year

2020 sees the 40th Anniversary of the Maidstone Ramblers’ Group. Peter Royall set up the Group on March 23rd 1980 with just 33 members.

In recognition of this event, which allows us all to engage in the active hobby of walking, a celebration lunch and walk themed photographic competition were arranged.

Celebration Lunch

The lunch was held at Bearsted Golf Club, Ware Street, ME14 4PQ on October 4th 2021, delayed from March 23rd 2020 due to the Covid pandemic.

Photographic Competition

The 40th Anniversary Photographic Competition was open to both current and past members of our group and photographs were accepted into four different categories.

The competition was completed in 2020. The results are shown below.
