Scarborough….at last!
Maidstone Ramblers finally made the trip to Scarborough planned for 2020. We had a wonderful week in April in the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire. A variety of walks took us along river valleys, into and out of the Hole of Hocum (very challenging) and along lovely coastal paths. The walks included visiting Whitby, Robin Hood Bay, Filey, and Pickering amongst others. The weather was surprisingly kind, with beautiful sunshine on the last day when we lunched on the cliff top and were lucky enough to see a bottle nosed dolphin and seals. The evenings saw most of our group dancing away to the hotel entertainment – great fun. It was a very successful week, and plans are already underway for our 2023 trip.
