Our Group schedules a four month programme three times a year. That's December - March, April - July and August November. This is normally distributed, along with a newsletter, to members during the early part of March, July and October.

This four-month programme and newsletter can also be seen below.

We then review and finalise each month's walks on a rolling two month basis, providing a full range of walks for you to experience. The next month is published early in the preceding month.

 Finalised Walk Programmes

Please select the desired month below:

A few walks still require booking. To see if, or how to book by viewing each individual walk details.

The April Programme still has walks available.

The May Programme is now available.

The option of pre-booking walks, with the possibility of a sensible limit on numbers, continues only if the leader decides this is appropriate. If applicable, the method of booking is noted in red for each individual walk in the monthly listings above.

Booking remains a requirement where the leader prefers this approach. Where indicated, please do not just arrive and put the leader in a position where your participation could be declined.

Any changes to the published programme will be highlighted on the News Page .

If you think a walk may have been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, please email walks@maidstoneramblers.org.uk.

When planning to join one of our walks it is important to understand where the start point is before you set out.

Leaders always choose the nearest postcode and sometimes this is spot on, however in rural areas the nearest postcode is the nearest house or business and may be some distance from the actual start point. This is why a grid reference is also provided, along with the name of the car park or the road for street parking.

You could take a minute to look at a map or clarify the exact start point by using https://www.streetmap.co.uk and enter the grid reference. Your destination is then indicated on maps with varying levels of detail. You can use https://www.google.co.uk/maps and enter a postcode but this may only identify that the car park or road is a little way away (but at least you know). Alternativly just use an OS map to be sure you know exactly where to find the leader and the rest of the group.

https://www.instantstreetview.com and a postcode allows you to view the area before you arrive.

While your sat nav will get you 98% of the way there, it is frustrating if you are not able to find the precise starting place. The leader’s mobile phone is usually quoted but this is not always possible. See you at a starting place soon.

For health reasons please be aware that you could come into contact with ticks while walking. Ticks can be found in dense vegetation or long grass. It is quite rare to get a tick on you but if not removed they can cause Lyme disease which can be very serious. For more details see here.
