Kent Police and the UK Border Force have a new initiative that aims is to reduce the threat to the UK of a terrorist entering via the Kent coastline or airfield and also to prevent organised crime groups smuggling migrants, firearms and other illegal commodities into the Country that could be used to fund terrorism. By engaging with Maritime, Aviation and other communities we can build up an eyes and ears network across Kent which is constantly increasing. Please be reassured though that Kent is still one of the safest areas to live in the UK.
